Artebianca’s third classic biscuit creation is the wholemeal one. Months of testing just to find just the right proportions of selected raw materials, and the addition
of dextrose – a sugar with about 70% less sweetening power than sucrose – resulted in the recipe for a delicious, crunchy, full-flavoured biscuit. Wholemeal flour provides all the nutrients contained in the germ because the grain is ground whole; for the same reason, wholemeal flour is high in dietary fibre and stimulates digestion.
